"Heartless" thief steals specially made bike from Twyford

By Laura Herbert

A cyclist is appealing for help tracing her bike after it was stolen in Twyford.

The custom-made bike was taken from a cul-de-sac in the village overnight on Saturday. It was chained to railings.

The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I was away on my hen do in Bath on Saturday night and my fiancé called me to say it had been stolen. The bike was borrowed from a friend and was specially made for her.

“It has got a baby seat on the back and a baby helmet.”

She added: “I think it is heartless.”

Anyone with information can call police on the non-emergency number 101.

I'm sorry the lady had her bike stolen, but I fail to the theft can somehow be characterized as uniquely "heartless" just because it has a baby seat on the back...?
