Man to appear at crown court after Winnersh crash

A man charged with causing death by dangerous driving in relation to a collision in Winnersh is to appear at crown court on Monday.

Samuel Darling, of Sirius Close, Woosehill, is due to appear at Reading Crown Court charged with two counts of the offence.

Jack Allison, 18, from Woosehill, and Stuart Craig, 19, from Winnersh, died following the collision at Winnersh crossroads on March 14 this year.

Jack’s VW Golf collided with a Ford Transit van at 8.55pm on the A329 Reading Road in Winnersh.

Jack, a former Emmbrook School pupil, died at Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading shortly after the crash.

Stuart died in John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford on Wednesday, March 21, after suffering serious injuries.
