Skimming device found on Woodley cash point
July 26, 2012
A skimming device has been found on a cash machine in Woodley.
The device was found fitted to the Santander ATM in Crockhamwell Road on Monday and handed into the branch.
Police are warning people to be vigilant when using the machines as the device copies the magnetic strip of a card, allowing access to money in the account.
A mini camera can sometime be found above the keypad to film the customer entering their PIN number.
Anyone who suspects a skimming device has been attached to a cash machine should inform staff or call police on 101.
