Farmers' market returns to Sandhurst on Sunday

By Becky Barnes
July 06, 2012

An ‘even bigger and better’ farmers’ market will take place in Sandhurst on Sunday.

The first market at Sandhurst Memorial Park, in Yorktown Road, last month had more than 1,000 visitors.

Carolyne Walter, managing director of Surrey Markets Ltd said: “I was overwhelmed with the wonderful welcome we had from local people last month. What a very friendly town Sandhurst is.”

The stalls will offer cheese, meat, eggs, fish, bread, cakes, pies and vegetables with plenty of free samples.

Councillor Paul Widdowson, who organised the new monthly market, said: “The feedback from the residents has been excellent.”

The farmers’ market will take place on the second Sunday of every month between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
