A high tea party and sing-song celebrated the Diamond Jubilee at Hare Hatch Sheeplands plant centre last Tuesday.

A day of festivities with an animal farm, entertainment from Bertie Slippers and jubilee quiz raised more than £400 for Twyford Charities Together and Parkinson’s UK.

Sheeplands owner Rob Scott said: “We were delighted to host the party.

“As usual we were also really pleased to work with other members of Twyford Village Partnership to make sure that members of our Age Concern Group were able to enjoy the day.”

Tickets for members of the Age Concern group were sponsored by local businesswomen Lisa Bain from the Tile and Bathroom shop and Heather Mailey from Twyford Lighting.

Connie Gilver, 90, from Heron Road in Wokingham, was among the guests.
