A determined burglar would not let anything get his way as he stole a BMW on Sunday night.
The crook used keys stolen from inside a house in Phillip Close in Woodley to move a VW Tiguan out of the way so they could steal the BMW.
The thief gained entry to the house via a letterbox, which he used to open the door from the inside.
The VW was left outside the house with the keys still in the ignition.
Other homes in the borough were targeted by car thieves last week.
The keys to another BMW were found dumped on the porch of a house in Thornbers Way in Charvil. Police believe the thief was disturbed and made off without the car.
Police have stepped up patrols in Barkham, Twyford, Charvil and Hurst. If you have information call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
