Eustace Crescent demolition plan to get the green light

May 30, 2012

Rundown council housing in Norreys is to be demolished once residents have been relocated.

Wokingham Borough Council’s executive committee is to approve plans to move the Eustace Crescent regeneration project forward tomorrow.

Money is to be released to fund the project, including relocating residents and buying out five leases. However the amount is not being disclosed as it is “commercially sensitive”.

The regeneration of Eustace Crescent will begin by next April. A large part of funding is due to come from the south Wokingham mini-town developer consortium, which is building 2,500 homes off London Road.
