Customs and Exiles dance-in the summer
May 23, 2012
Drivers could be forgiven for doing a double-take as they passed a Wokingham pub this month.
Members of the Customs and Exiles Morris side from Wokingham donned their clogs and bells to dance with their friends from Reading’s Kennet side.
The performance took place outside the Queen’s Head pub in The Terrace, on Monday, May 14.
The Customs and Exiles side performs clog dances from the mill towns of the north west of England as well as dances from villages along the English side of the Welsh border.
They practise at Walter Infant School from September to April, dancing out between May and September.
The group welcomes any interested new dancers or musicians. Please visit its website for the programme of events and other information at www.customsandexiles.co.uk
