Power failure at Twyford traffic lights

By Jon Nurse
May 22, 2012

Motorists are being warned to be careful at a crossroads in Twyford, where traffic lights are without power this morning.

The traffic lights at the junction of London Road and High Street are off in all directions, however an engineer is on the scene.

A spokesman for Wokingham Borough Council said: "Drivers need to be cautious at the lights. An engineer was called at 8.30am so we are expecting the lights to be turned back on soon."

I bet they run better with no lights. The 4 way stop means I only go through there in an emergency. At the least, they should just ban right turns and have 2 roads going at once. That might just make the junction passable other than at 3am.

They've been dodgy all weekend! On Sunday, all sets were set to red. Nobody was moving. It took ages to get through there.
