A charity supporting young children with disabilities in Wokingham is calling on golfers to help raise much-needed funds.

Dingley Family and Specialist Early Years Centres are hosting their second charity golf day on Thursday, May 24, at Caversham Heath Golf Course in Mapledurham.

The day will start with refreshments at 9.30am, followed by a morning of competition around the 18-hole course, a hot lunch, raffle and prize-giving.

An annual fundraising target of £220,000 is needed for the charity to keep going and growing.

The charity helps more than 90 families in its three centres based in Wokingham, Reading and West Berkshire.

The previous golf day in 2012 comprised 11 teams and raised £1,746.

Teams of four are needed and the cost is £200, but individuals are also invited to get in touch and teams will then be put together.
