Blaze destroys tractors in Reading Road, Finchampstead

By Becky Barnes
April 23, 2012

An antique collection of tractors was destroyed in a blaze that ripped through a storage shed last night.

More than 40 firefighters from six stations were called to explosions in Reading Road, Finchampstead, at 1.30am this morning.

Whitley Wood firefighters were first on the scene and were joined by Wokingham, Wokingham Road and Bracknell. Two teams from Hampshire were also on scene.

The fire , which was out by 4.55am, is believed to have been accidental and started by an electrical fault off the site, according to early investigations.

Firefighters were still investigating the cause at 9am this morning, with environmental specialists there to clear the debris.
