By Hugh Fort
April 13, 2012

Bracknell's Mayor will be on the fundraising trail in April after collecting more than £100 at a concert at Bracknell Leisure Centre.

Councillor Chris Turrell, mayor of Bracknell Forest, was at the ‘A Sporting Chance’ concert at the leisure centre in Bagshot Road on Sunday, March 25.

A collection for his chosen charity, Age UK, raised £136.

On Saturday, he will host a bag pack at Sainsbury’s in Bagshot Road with 2nd Easthampstead Scouts.

He will also be at an open day at Age UK’s centre in Worlds End Hill, Forest Park, on Wednesday, April 18.

Details of the event are still being confirmed, but it is hoped visitors will be able to view some improvements being made to the day centre.
