By Lewis RuddFebruary 22, 2012
Two men were assaulted as they were ordering food from a town centre kebab van at the weekend.
The men, aged 21 and 22, were placing an order at the mobile fast food outlet in Reading Road, opposite St Paul's Church, at about 2.50am on Saturday, February 18, when they were approached by another man.
The offender is said to have headbutted one of the men, causing a cut to his nose, and punched the other, although he did not suffer any injuries in the incident.
He is described as white, about 25, with short, spiky hair and approximately 5ft 10ins tall and of a medium build.
The man was wearing a blue hooded top with a black coat over the top.
Police are keen to speak with other people who were said to have also been at the kebab van at the time of the offence.
Anyone with information about the incident should call PC Matthew Cadmore via the 24-hour police enquiry centre on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
