Icy conditions close Loddon Bridge Park and Ride

The Loddon Bridge park and ride is closed this morning due to icy conditions.

Wokingham Borough Council has announced the service, which runs from Showcase Cinema in Winnersh Triangle to Reading, will be closed today following snowfall over the weekend.

Gritters were out on Wokingham's highways last night in response to the cold snap.

The Met Office has warned ice is likely to be a hazard on roads across the region and that the public should be aware their journeys could be disrupted today.

Do we need to start explaining the micro-climate in that area again??

Wokingham Council are applying to the government for a large grant to improve traffic on the A329 (£3.7 million, I think) but they can't treat keeping the park and ride going as a priority for gritting!!!!
