Office workers spent a day in the great outdoors when they went along to a sheltered housing complex to help revamp a set of gardens.
Workers from computer company Deya in Reading Road took off their suits and put on the overalls to help out at the Sale Garden Cottages in Howard Road.
The group spent the day tidying the gardens for the elderly as part of the employer supported volunteering scheme, run by the Wokingham Volunteer Centre.
Lesley McCambridge, manager at Sale Garden Cottages, said: “The project went really well, the staff from Deya was so nice and the residents are so pleased with their work.
“It was all so amazing, thank you so much for arranging it all for me.”
Staff from Deya chatted to residents and were thanked with a hot lunch to warm them up after their work outside.
Volunteer co-ordinator Helena Badger, who runs the scheme, said: “It an excellent way for local companies and businesses to combine a team building exercise with a chance to give something back to the local community.”
She added:“It provides an invaluable resource to the charities and organisations they help and the teams find it an extremely rewarding experience.
“We are always keen to hear from Wokingham borough based companies who would like to take part and from charities, who could benefit from a team coming in to help.”
