The Iron Duke pub in Crowthorne could be transformed into homes if plans to alter the building are given the go-ahead by the council,s planning committee next Thursday.

Developers want to change the village’s oldest pub into flats and houses. A public consultation on the plans took place in Crowthorne earlier this year with several objections lodged.

One said: “This is the oldest pub in the village and this building should be respected.”

The meeting will take place at the council’s offices in Easthampstead House from 7.30pm.
