L'Ortolan chef Alan Murchison to be TV judge

May 16, 2011

L’Ortolan chef Alan Murchison will be the judge scrutinising the work of three contestants for the Scotland region on television competition the Great British Menu.

Mr Murchison, who is chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant in Shinfield, will be mentoring three contestants who are looking to cook up the chance to provide food for guests at The People’s Banquet.

He is no stranger to the show, however, as he won the Scottish heats section of the programme last year and went on to represent the country in the competition final.

Great British Menu is aired weekdays on BBC Two at 6.30pm. Twyford’s Matthew Fort is one of the judges.
