Ambulance HQ under review

The future of Wokingham’s ambulance headquarters was due to be discussed at a public meeting last night.
Members of the public and staff of the South Central Ambulance Service had been invited to the consultation event at Reading Town Hall to look at proposals for the future of the service’s office in Finchampstead Road.
A spokesman for the ambulance service confirmed a review of the Wokingham office’s future was taking place as the lease for the building is coming up for renewal.
Options include relocating staff to another building.
He said: “No decision has been made. All the options are on the table. We are out for consultation as we speak.”
The Wokingham office is the service’s base in Berkshire.
