Moped arson arrest

A teenager was arrested after reports of an attempted theft and arson of a moped.
The incident took place in East Reading on Wednesday, February 24.
PCSO Steve Vaughan said: “A resident called police reporting people trying to steal a moped in Blenheim Gardens. A police unit attended and the offenders ran off towards the Addington Road area.
“An 18-year-old man was arrested in Denmark Road and he had the moped badge in his pocket.
“Officers later found out the males were trying to set fire to the moped.”
He has been released on bail to return to Loddon Valley police station on Saturday, April 3.
