Google Street View comes to Wokingham

By Victoria Corbett
March 11, 2010

Wokingham has become one of the latest boroughs to be immortalised on Google’s Street View.

Landmarks such as Wokingham Town Hall in Market Place and Finchampstead’s California Crossroads have all been immortalised on the service.

Web surfers can check out their house, local pub and see if they can spot their friends strolling through the town centre at the click of a mouse.

Google Street View cars with cameras mounted on the roof were spotted in the town centre in April last year.

Check out Wokingham on Street View by visiting www.maps.google.co.uk and searching for Wokingham and clicking on Street View under the “more” options link.

Have you spotted anything unusual in Wokingham’s Street View? What do you think of the borough being captured on Google’s camera?
