Cheryl Cole right to ditch Ashley says fan Antony Grover

Cheryl Cole fan Antony Grover believes the pop star was right to ditch her cheating footballer husband.

“It’s about time really. He was taking the p***at and the end of the day he can’t keep doing it no matter who is he,” said Antony.

“There’s no reason for her to have to stay with him now, it’s not like she needs the money.”

The 24-year-old got in touch with the Reading Post following a plea on getreading for the fan to give his verdict on Cheryl’s decision to give her hubby the boot.

Antony, from Whitley Wood, met Girls Aloud in 2005 when he won a Pepsi Max competition.

When asked what he thought of Geordie Cheryl going solo he said: “She seems to be doing well on her own.”

But he did think Ashley’s cheating “was her own fault” after she took him back following allegations he slept with a hairdresser around two years ago.

And Antony isn’t sure if the split will do her solo singing career any favours, he said: “[Last time] her career went off and everybody felt sorry for her but I don’t know if people will show as much sympathy this time.”

He added: “There’s arguments for both sides and no one knows exactly what has gone on.”

Hello Phux Ache (When did Phux mean Face?). In my world, we use question marks when posing questions in written sentences, and the sky is blue, usually shaded grey when in Reading. Today, I left the front door, walked down the drugs hotspot street I live on, got to work, recently took a lunch break, and then noticed your shoddy attempts (others here have done a much better job, that’s all I’m saying) to goad me into caring about the REAL (stop shouting) people like yourself and then daring me into thinking your views mattered.

Any news on Antony getting a regular spot on the website and/or in the paper yet? I'm not being my usual sarky self - he would be brilliant, and deserves some more press. Well done him for not taking himself too seriously, and expressing his own opinion rather than being totally pushed into guesswork.
