High street property up for auction

A prime slice of Wokingham’s high street was due to go under the hammer yesterday with a guide price of £1.4 million.
The building at 11 to 13 Broad Street, which is currently home to Italian restaurant chain Zizzi, was available to buy at auction through commercial real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle.
Zizzi, which is owned by Ask Restaurants and opened in 2008, has a 25-year lease on the building.
Richard Auterac, auctioneer and director at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “This attractive property is superbly located in Wokingham a short walking distance from the town’s retail centre and is one of the best properties we have at our next auction.”
