Drivers should avoid Nine Mile Ride today

Drivers should expect delays if they are using Nine Mile Ride this afternoon because of a funeral.
Dozens of mourners are expected at the funeral at St Sebastian’s Church in Heathlands Road, which is likely to causing congestion in the area.
Motorists planning to use Nine Mile Ride from 1pm-4pm between New Wokingham Road and Lower Wokingham Road or Heathlands Road, are being advised by the council and police to find alternative routes if possible or allow extra time for their journey.
Parents, whose children attend St Sebastian’s CE Primary School in Heathlands Road, will be able to collect their children from 12.15pm today.
