Winning posters promote Woodley Winter Extravaganza

These festive posters will wing their way to thousands of homes in Woodley this week to promote the town’s Winter Extravaganza.
Woodley town centre manager Jacques Lherbier reported the highest number of entries ever for the annual poster competition for primary schoolchildren.
The standard was so high two joint winners have been named and the third and fourth prize entries will also be distributed to promote the event, which takes place on Sunday, December 6.
Joint winners were Ashley Gerrish, eight, and Isobel Hamilton, 10, both from Rivermead Primary. Third place went to Marcus Aurelias, seven, of Willowbank Junior, and fourth to Victoria Higgs, seven, from Beechwood Primary.
Mr Lherbier said he hopes to print up to 18,000 posters for the extravaganza, where stalls and festive entertainment take over the shopping precinct.
