Police target yobs creating trouble on Friday nights

November 17, 2009

Yobbish behaviour in Woodley will be tackled by a police crackdown.

Officers will target anti-social behaviour in the town on Friday and Saturday nights following the roll out of Operation Lion Club.

There will be a greater police presence on these evenings and officers from Woodley’s neighbourhood team will hold street briefings.

PCSO Clare Towse said: “Anti-social behaviour remains a top priority for Woodley. I can assure residents that this remains a priority for the Woodley neighbourhood team and we are continuing our patrols in the area and dealing with young people who are acting in an anti-social way.”

Anyone wanting to report anti-social behaviour can call police on 08458 505 505.

i've lived in and around Woodley for years, and problems with bored and anti social teenagers has got worse over those years, it will be interesting to see if things improve or if the kids to just get moved along from one area to another.
