Firefighters called to gas leak at Waitrose

Leaking gas from a fridge triggered supermarket alarms and caused firefighters to rush to the store.
Leaking refrigerant gas at Waitrose in Wokingham set off the supermarket’s alarms at around 6am on Sunday.
Bracknell firefighters arrived at the Rectory Road shop, isolated the leak and stopped the flow of gas.
Delta crew manager Scott Pay said: “Refrigerants can be harmful but thankfully this one wasn’t.”
