The death of a four-month-old baby boy from serious injuries on Tuesday is being investigated by police.

A 24-year-old man was been arrested yesterday afternoon in relation to the incident from an address in Sedgewell Road in Sonning Common and has since been bailed.

The baby was admitted to the Royal Berkshire Hospital on Monday night and was later transferred to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3.48am.

His death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem is due on Friday.

Adam Fisher, Thames Valley Police spokesman, said: “We were alerted to the fact a four-month old baby had been admitted to the RBH with serious injuries by Oxfordshire social services at 10pm on Monday evening.

“The house in Sedgewell Road was searched by police on Tuesday and the man was arrested in connection with the incident.”

I don't think it is unfair to state where the people lived, they will obviously be going through a hard time enough as it is.

What a sad tragedy, I pray for all those involved.

No offence meant here to anyone, but without the full facts it would be wrong to judge
