Man dies in Earley car crash

A driver has died after a car crash in Earley yesterday afternoon.

The 44-year-old, believed to be a local man, was travelling from the direction of ASDA towards Loddon Valley Police Station around 4pm when his blue Vauxhall Corsa left the carriageway.

The man was the only person in the car and was treated at the scene but died on the way to hospital.

The cause of death is unknown and a post mortem will take place next week.

A section of Rushey Way was closed for an hour while police investigated the cause of the collision.
