Elderly motorist dies after crash

An elderly man has died of natural causes following a car crash in Old Bath Road towards Twyford on Wednesday.

The 73-year-old was driving a gold Honda when it left the road and collided with road works at around 12.55pm.

Reading coroner’s office confirmed the man died of natural causes and an inquest will not be held.

PC Belinda Simpson from Thames Valley Police, who is investigating the incident, said: “I would like to hear from anyone that may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision or who witnessed the collision itself.”
