Families of the victims of the horrific council van bus shelter crash will be telling their stories in getreading tomorrow.

Elderly pensioners were among those hospitalised - with four still being treated at the Royal Berkshire Hospital - when the Reading Borough Council Ford Transit ploughed into the bus stop in Oxford Road.

An 89-year-old Tilehurst man, his 85-year-old wife and a couple with their disabled son were among casualties.

Many had attended the Salvation Army lunch club on the day of the crash.

Its leader in West Reading Major Barbara Warner said the incident may have an impact on the members' independence.

No arrests have yet been made.

What purpose would such stories have?

Pictures of bruised faces and people saying 'it hurt'.
