Councillor is queen of the cakes

A Wokingham councillor decided to let her colleagues eat cake at a meeting.
Councillor Liz Siggery responded to a letter in The Wokingham Times labelling her as the Marie Antoinette of local politics by spending Thursday afternoon baking.
She handed out fairy cakes to her colleagues on Wokingham Borough Council before the budget meeting at Shute End last Thursday evening.
Cllr Siggery was likened to the former Queen of France in response to comments made over travel tokens for the over-60s in Wokingham.
