Christmas Day assault

January 06, 2009

A man ended up with a broken nose on Christmas Day after he was attacked at Twyford railway station.

The 28-year-old was assaulted by two men shortly after 1am as he was walking across the station over-bridge towards Hurst Road with a friend.

He suffered a broken nose and heavy bruising to his face that required hospital treatment.

Police say the attackers are small, about 20 years old, and one of them was wearing a striped jumper.

“I appeal to anyone who was in this area of Twyford on Christmas morning who may have witnessed the assault to contact me immediately," Twyford neighbourhood specialist PC Terry Neblett said.

Anyone with information can call PC Neblett on 08458 505 505 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
