Residents rally in their thousands to have their say on homes plans

Thousands of people have spoken out on Wokingham’s blueprint for where more than 10,000 homes will be built over the next 18 years.

The consultation on Wokingham Borough Council’s core strategy ended last Wednesday and drew comments, observations and objections from thousands of interested people.

The strategy looks at where homes, schools and infrastructure will be located up until 2026.

But the plan, which would see the north and south borders of Wokingham extended, has been lambasted by The Wokingham Society and heavily criticised by neighbouring Reading Borough Council.
