Is your child one of ‘Those Pesky Kids’?

A prolific graffiti gang could be unmasked by the doodles on their school exercise books and pencil cases.

The graffiti ‘tag’ TPK, which stands for ‘Those Pesky Kids’, has been springing up across the borough in Woodley, Winnersh and Finchamp-stead, as well as in Reading.

Investigating officer PC Katy Lucas is urging parents and teachers to take a look at exercise books and pencil cases, to see if the ‘tag’ has been scribbled by the perpetrators during their studies.

Police have received nearly 60 reports of the ‘tag’ and are now looking into a group on social networking site MySpace, which appears to be run by the graffiti gang.

On the site, the group boasts it is “a collective of graffiti writers, DJs, producers, promoters, bands, MCs, visual artists and a lot more”.

The sites where the tag has been sprayed include Keephatch Road, Fin-champstead Road and Old Forest Road in Wokingham, Arbor Lane and Woodward Close in Winnersh and Crockhamwell Road in Woodley.

Anyone with information can contact PC Lucas on 08458 505505, or al-ternatively, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The parents are probably the ones buying the graffiti spray cans.
