Meet a tailor who fits work round you

29/ 8/2008

A new business has been set up to bring hassle-free suit tailoring to the masses.

Christina Holm, of Warfield, launched Berkley Brewer home-visiting tailor earlier this year and boasts clients across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire,  Oxfordshire and London.

Christina goes out to homes of clients armed with a pile of fabric swatches and a tape measure and measures them for bespoke suits.

She said: “People are all different shapes and sizes and it’s frustrating for them when they have to buy something off the peg, only to find the trousers are an inch too short or the jacket is a bit too tight across the back.  A lot of people compromise and put up with these initial discomforts, but they needn’t anymore.”

The made-to-measure wool suits start at £299 and are delivered within six weeks.
