Derelict Greyhound in line for a revamp by new owners

29/ 8/2008

A derelict pub could get a new lease of life after being taken over by a Midlands company.

The Greyhound in Longwater Road in Finchampstead has been the subject of a new planning application.

Management company Urban & Country Leisure bought it and several other venues around the country previously owned by the Massive Pub Company, which went in to administration in January, and are planning to re-open the venue.

A spokeswoman for the company said it was only set up three months ago and no decisions would be made yet.

“We are looking at each [pub] and working our way round them,” she said.

“We are not sure what to do with it yet. "
