Charvil collision - man arrested

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a cyclist was seriously injured on a Charvil Road.

The 44-year-old driver was arrested in relation with a crash on June 30 when a Silver Vauxhall Vectra collided with a cyclist at the roundabout at the junction of the A4 and Old Bath Road, near the Texaco garage.

The 57-year-old cyclist suffered head injuries as well as a broken leg, arm and shoulder and is still receiving treatment at Reading#'s Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The driver was released on bail following his arrest and was asked to return to Loddon Valley Police Station on September 1.
