Last week's protest over classroom structure changes by Emmbrook School pupils is still prompting a deluge of comments on www.getwokingham.co.uk.

More than 200 pupils at the school in Emmbrook Road decided to walkout last Thursday in protest at plans to shuffle youngsters out of the tutor groups system into four 'colleges'.

Although calm has now been restored at the school, the proposal, which pupils say would break friendship groups, is still the focus of mixed reactions from youngtsers, parents and governors.

The school believes the new system will imporve the quality of care, guidance and support the pupils receive.
