Council ‘going too fast’ on teen park

Joel Park Residents’ Association (JPRA) says plans by Wokingham Town Council to build ‘outdoor gym’ equipment in Joel Park are proceeding very quickly, despite objections from local groups.

The plan would see the children’s playground in the Holt Lane park, which has a climbing frame, swings and a slide, replaced by an area designed for youths with equipment potentially including a rowing machine, static cycle, spring-mounted boards and cableways.

But the JPRA feels the town council has chosen the wrong site for the equipment.
