May Fayre the ‘best ever’ as crowds flock to town

By Hugh Fort
7/ 5/2008

The sun shone on thousands of people who filled the town for what could have been be the “best ever” Wokingham May Fayre on record.

Charity and business stalls lined the town centre streets while hundreds of revellers packed Market Place to watch the entertainment on the main stage during the event on Monday Bank Holdiay.

The fayre, which is the 24th organised by the Wokingham Lions Club, is held to raise money for the club’s chosen charities.
