Crime fall is good news

Crime has dropped by almost 20 per cent in Wokingham, according to new figures.

The stats, which were officially released on Friday, show overall crime in the borough has decreased by 19.5 per cent between April last year and March this year compared with the previous period.

Deputy commander for Wokingham local police area, inspector Jim Weems hailed the figures, which include a whopping 41 per cent drop in theft from vehicles and a 30 per cent fall in burglary, good news for the borough.
