Second air ambulance next mission for flying doctors

By Hugh Fort
March 28, 2008

The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance has been saving lives since 1997.

As the charity prepares to launch its new helicopter, reporter Hugh Fort spoke to chief executive Lyn Paver about the cause’s ambitious plans, which could ultimately see a second chopper in the skies over Wokingham.

A life-saving airborne charity covering three counties is going from strength to strength and will soon replace its “Land Rover of the skies” with a new model.

The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance will be seen soaring to emergency incidents in Berkshire in a red and yellow Eurocopter EC135.
