Wokingham's very own beauty queen has given the Giving Tree appeal her royal seal of approval.

Ashton Diffenthal, the current Miss Reading, strolled into The Wokingham Times office to put a teddy bear under our Giving Tree and lend her backing to the charity appeal.

Miss Diffenthal, who is in her final year of A-levels at The Emmbrook School, said the Giving Tree had a positive festive message for everyone in Wokingham and hoped it would be a success.
