Stage is set for Cantley battle

Theatre-lovers have taken centre stage in the fight against a planned 250-seat football stand at Cantley Park.
Wokingham Theatre bosses and patrons are outraged they have not been consulted on the plan to move Wokingham and Emmbrook Football Club to a new home in Twyford Road.
Mary Rutterford, chairman of the theatre which moved to the park in 1986, said the extra traffic as a result of football matches would be too much for the site and noise would disturb shows and work at the theatre.
