A HERO dad had more of an active role in the birth of his second child than he was expecting.
Richard Ambrose, 35, did not believe his wife Fiona when she woke him in the early hours to tell him the baby was coming.
But less than hour later it was all too real for Richard, who is deputy director of finance at Wokingham District Council, as Fiona was in agony on the bathroom floor of their home in Manor Road, and he realised no help was coming.
