School quiz teams battle it out

A quiz organised by school librarians put the general knowledge and literary skills of Year Seven pupils to the test.
Pupils from The Holt, The Forest, St Crispin’s, The Piggott and Luckley-Oakfield competed at The Holt School, in Holt Lane, on Wednesday, February 27, in the Inter-Schools Quiz 2013, held to celebrate World Book Day.
Teams from the five Wokingham schools battled through four rounds of questions on general knowledge, popular culture and books.
The winners were the team from Luckley-Oakfield, who received individual prizes of books, stationery and chocolates.
The event is organised every year by school librarians and is supported by the Education Library Service, which provided some of the questions.
