Holt School Prom Fayre shows off all the Prom Night must-haves

Posh frocks and sharp suits were on display as these stunning young models took to the catwalk at the town’s first Prom Fayre.

The fayre was held to help school pupils from across the borough prepare for their big night in the summer.

The stylish event at The Holt School was attended by some 220 local fashionistas on February 13.

As well as two fashion shows featuring a glittering array of prom and after-prom party dresses, there were also 30 stalls displaying a sparkling selection of jewellery and accessories for sale.

Make-up demonstrations and nail treatments added to the glamour at the Holt Lane school.

One of the organisers, Alison Brown, said: “Prom Fayre was a huge success. The fashion show was amazing with standing room only, and the models – both Holt girls and a few boys – were very professional.

“A very good talk was given by Emma Tennant on image and style and we saw some amazing transport, including a beautiful bus.

“The event raised a significant amount of money – more than £500 – for The Holt School PTA, and the stall holders were delighted with the evening.

“Many have already approached us about next year, after having a very successful time either selling on the night or taking Prom bookings.

“And with other schools represented there was more than one prom to be catered for.

“This was a really large scale event for the whole community.”
