Eagle House School pupils celebrate Chinese New Year

February 26, 2013

Children explored the rich culture of the Orient as they celebrated Chinese New Year.

Youngsters at Eagle House School Pre-Prep, in Sandhurst, enjoyed a week of activities, with a dressing up day last Friday.

Susie Fogarty, deputy head of Pre-Prep, said: “As part of their curriculum on respecting other cultures, the children immersed themselves in a week of activities relating to Chinese traditions.

“The school already has strong links with Wellington College, Tianjin, which further enriches the children’s learning and experience.”

She added: “The week of celebrations concluded with a Chinese cultural show performed to parents and visitors, which was warmly received.”

The children were first to perform in the school’s new performing arts studio before half term.
