40 awards for Dolphin School pupils at National Maths Challenge

Brainy pupils at the Dolphin School in Hurst scooped more than 40 awards at the National Primary Schools Math Challenge.

Around 70 children at the school, in Waltham Road, took part in the competition last month.

Pupils achieved nine gold awards, 14 silver and 18 bronze awards.

Veronica Gibbs, headmistress, said: “We were of course delighted with this achievement from all the children.”

Three Year Six pupils scored at least 23 out of 25 on their challenge paper and qualified to take part in the bonus round next month.
