Schoolchildren donate shoeboxes to Salvation Army

By Laura Herbert
January 02, 2013

Schoolchildren wrapped shoeboxes filled with a selection of Christmas gifts – and donated them to charity.

Pupils at Yateley Manor gave the boxes to the Wokingham branch of the Salvation Army, which distributed them to children in the town who might not otherwise receive a gift.

Headmaster Rob Williams said: “I am delighted with the generosity from our school community. It is very important that our children understand how very fortunate they are and that they consider others, particularly at this time of year.”
